Support Whilst Studying

If you are currently studying, you may be able to access a 'Resident's Support Grant' to purchase books, etc.  Contact a Client Advisor to check your eligibility

Grants for Training

Grants are available to unemployed residents to enable them to access short training courses which lead to employment.

What do you need?

Residents need to provide evidence that an employer will offer employment if they hold a certain qualification/license etc.  Residents also need to show proof of being unemployed and address details.

Residents must be registered with the Opportunities Shop and actively looking for employment.  To access this grant call into your nearest shop and ask to see a Client Advisor, they will be able to give you information concerning training providers, colleges and courses available in the area.

Bootle and Netherton shops also have funds to assist with childcare costs whilst training. Click here for details.
